Immunotherapies

In our center we perform cellular immunotherapies - particularly with tumor- and leukemia-specific T cells, NK cells and Cytokine-induced Killer cells (CIK). Like the stem cells, the production of cellular immunotherapies takes place in and by the DRK Blood Transfusion Service Baden-Württemberg-Hessen, with our laboratory also acting as a commissioned testing laboratory for the Blood Donor Service.

To optimize and develop new therapies we perform targeted research at the pre-clinical and clinical interface.
Special topics in the field of our translational research are:

Development of cellular immunotherapies - „from bench to bedside“:

• Cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK)
• CIK-cell-based therapy against virus infections
• Tumor- and leukemia-specific T-cells
• NK-cells
